Here you will find the ramblings of a ham radio operator, whom by stroke of fate is locate between large continents…

I’ll try and keep you motivated into coming back with magical tricks of internet savvy, posting stuff I find relevant to our hobby.

My  Name is Mike Maciel, my callsign is CU3HY, previously it was CU3AAF…

I was born in Canada and have resided in the Azores Islands for the past 29 years.

I have been a ham radio operator since96,started out as CU0AAC.
I started with radios on CB, in the early 90’s.

Just recently I got back into the hobby again, after a long hiatus, and now you can find me mostly on SSB, on either 20M or 40M.
I am not a hardcore DX man, but enjoy a good CQ.

I try and build most of my equipment, from digital interfaces to antennas.
